2010年2月22日,山東省舉行了科技獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)暨技術(shù)創(chuàng)新工程推進(jìn)大會(huì)。煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華聚氨酯股份有限公司丁建生研究員摘得2009年度山東省省科學(xué)技術(shù)最高獎(jiǎng),并獲得100萬(wàn)元獎(jiǎng)金。
作為中國(guó)MDI技術(shù)第一人,正是丁建生,帶領(lǐng)著一支由21名海內(nèi)外博士、100余名碩士組成的團(tuán)隊(duì),成功地完成了國(guó)家重點(diǎn)產(chǎn)業(yè)技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā)項(xiàng)目,使中國(guó)成為繼德、美、英、日之后全球第五個(gè)擁有MDI制造技術(shù)自主知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)的國(guó)家,扭轉(zhuǎn)了中國(guó)MDI長(zhǎng)期依賴進(jìn)口的局面,有力地推動(dòng)了中國(guó)聚氨酯及相關(guān)行業(yè)的發(fā)展。
On February 22, 2010, Shandong Province held the conference on scientific and technological awards and promotion of technological innovation engineering. Ding Jiansheng, a research fellow of Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co., Ltd. was granted the top prize for science and technology in Shandong Province and a bonus of one million yuan.
As the initiator of the MDI technology in China, Ding Jiansheng heads a team comprised of 21 doctors and 21 masters, which has successfully completed the national key development project of industrial technology, enabling China to become the fifth country, after Germany, the USA, UK, and Japan, to own the MID manufacturing technology with independent intellectual property rights, thus changing the situation that China for a long time has had to rely on importing MDI products and so promoting the development of polyurethanes and related industries.
眼前的這位西裝革履,頭發(fā)微卷,文質(zhì)彬彬的人,便是一大堆榮譽(yù)的獲得者――丁建生。
談及MDI技術(shù)的研發(fā)和應(yīng)用,丁建生激動(dòng)地說(shuō),“真正具有市場(chǎng)潛力的高新技術(shù)是不可能引進(jìn)的。技術(shù)創(chuàng)新能力也是不可能買來(lái)的。沒(méi)有科技的發(fā)展和創(chuàng)新,不掌握具有自主知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)的核心技術(shù),中國(guó)的民族企業(yè)就不會(huì)真正走上科學(xué)發(fā)展的道路!
從技術(shù)封鎖到國(guó)際領(lǐng)先
MDI,是生產(chǎn)聚氨酯的主要原料,在人們的日常生活中隨處可見(jiàn)。從手提包、鞋子、服裝到冰箱、汽車,哪一樣也離不開(kāi)這種材料的應(yīng)用。
到目前為止,中國(guó)生產(chǎn)MDI且具有自主知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)的企業(yè),只有煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華一家。丁建生的頭銜很多,和煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華有關(guān)的就有好幾個(gè):煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華合成革集團(tuán)有限公司總裁、萬(wàn)華實(shí)業(yè)集團(tuán)有限公司總裁、煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華聚氨酯股份有限公司董事長(zhǎng)、煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華技術(shù)委員會(huì)主席。
上世紀(jì)70年代末期,為解決穿鞋難問(wèn)題,中國(guó)決定從國(guó)外引進(jìn)聚氨酯合成革生產(chǎn)裝置。從日本引進(jìn)的這套裝置是歐美公司上世紀(jì)60年代的落后設(shè)備,配套帶進(jìn)來(lái)一套比較落后的間歇法工藝MDI生產(chǎn)裝置。這種裝置產(chǎn)量低運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)也很不穩(wěn)定,產(chǎn)能還不到一萬(wàn)噸。但是,讓這樣的裝置進(jìn)入中國(guó),已經(jīng)是這個(gè)跨國(guó)公司的“疏忽”了。當(dāng)時(shí)的煙臺(tái)合成革廠雖然迎來(lái)了這套裝置,卻只知道如何操作這套裝置而已。
“上世紀(jì)80年代我們幻想,用市場(chǎng)換技術(shù),但實(shí)際真正有市場(chǎng)發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ募夹g(shù)是換不來(lái)的!倍〗ㄉf(shuō),“看到MDI的市場(chǎng)潛力,我們帶著跨國(guó)公司考察中國(guó)市場(chǎng),從黑龍江一路考察到海南島,考察完對(duì)方就一腳把我們踹了,根本不會(huì)用技術(shù)來(lái)交換!鼻昂蠡私5年時(shí)間,中國(guó)人依然無(wú)法引進(jìn) MDI的核心技術(shù)。
于是,煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華不得不“被迫”進(jìn)行自主研發(fā)。研發(fā)從“消化吸收”那臺(tái)落后的日本設(shè)備開(kāi)始,丁建生也有了一個(gè)有趣的頭銜:消化吸收課題組組長(zhǎng)。他的工作,就是對(duì)洋設(shè)備動(dòng)手術(shù),邊拆邊修邊琢磨。經(jīng)過(guò)不懈的努力,完成“消化吸收”后的萬(wàn)華進(jìn)入了全面技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā)階段,憑借著專業(yè)的水準(zhǔn)和不懈的努力,丁建生帶領(lǐng)的MDI研究開(kāi)發(fā)和創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)在國(guó)內(nèi)率先建立起MDI工藝過(guò)程計(jì)算機(jī)模擬和MDI核心化學(xué)反應(yīng)計(jì)算機(jī)數(shù)學(xué)模型,開(kāi)發(fā)出了國(guó)內(nèi)首套MDI制造工藝技術(shù)軟件包,并成功應(yīng)用于1.5萬(wàn)噸MDI裝置改造。隨后,丁建生主持國(guó)家重點(diǎn)產(chǎn)業(yè)技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā)項(xiàng)目,解決了縮合反應(yīng)、光氣化反應(yīng)和分離精制三大核心技術(shù)難題,使中國(guó)成為繼德、美、英、日之后全球第五個(gè)擁有MDI制造技術(shù)自主知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)的國(guó)家。
自主創(chuàng)新是企業(yè)生存的DNA
在技術(shù)封鎖時(shí)期,曾有一家MDI跨國(guó)公司的總經(jīng)理告訴丁建生,如果賣出MDI技術(shù),公司就會(huì)像快要下山的太陽(yáng)一樣。這番話讓丁建生刻骨銘心。他意識(shí)到,自主創(chuàng)新可能不是靈丹妙藥,卻是化工企業(yè)生存的DNA。
“創(chuàng)新一定是個(gè)系統(tǒng)工程,不光是技術(shù)創(chuàng)新,一定要有體制創(chuàng)新、觀念更新。如果你想都不敢想瞄準(zhǔn)國(guó)際最領(lǐng)先的,那你永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)成功!”丁建生霸氣十足的話,展現(xiàn)著其研發(fā)團(tuán)隊(duì)的決心和魄力。通過(guò)集成創(chuàng)新,他們成功開(kāi)發(fā)出連續(xù)縮合反應(yīng)、連續(xù)多胺光氣化反應(yīng)、粗MDI連續(xù)分離精制三大關(guān)鍵技術(shù),并成功應(yīng)用于工業(yè)化生產(chǎn),實(shí)現(xiàn)了中國(guó)MDI制造的全連續(xù)化,使中國(guó)MDI技術(shù)水平和產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量達(dá)到國(guó)際先進(jìn)水平。
為使民族MDI產(chǎn)業(yè)具備國(guó)際競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力,丁建生通過(guò)主持“十五”國(guó)家科技攻關(guān)計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目,成功研發(fā)出具有國(guó)際領(lǐng)先水平的多級(jí)甲醛連續(xù)加入噴射縮合反應(yīng)技術(shù)、汽液固高效液膜射流式光氣化反應(yīng)技術(shù)、精餾結(jié)晶一體化MDI分離精制技術(shù)、廢二氧化碳制高純度一氧化碳等MDI制造核心關(guān)鍵技術(shù),并在國(guó)際上首創(chuàng)MDI含胺廢鹽水循環(huán)利用清潔生產(chǎn)技術(shù),使中國(guó)成為世界上第三個(gè)擁有世界級(jí)規(guī)模MDI生產(chǎn)技術(shù)的國(guó)家,為民族聚氨酯工業(yè)發(fā)展贏得了主動(dòng)權(quán)。
為做大做強(qiáng)民族MDI產(chǎn)業(yè),“十一五”期間,丁建生又主持完成了國(guó)家863計(jì)劃重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目課題,在國(guó)際上首創(chuàng)了分子級(jí)微觀混合超重力縮合反應(yīng)成套新技術(shù),并指導(dǎo)開(kāi)發(fā)出超音速毫秒級(jí)快速混合新型光氣化反應(yīng)技術(shù),有力地推動(dòng)了中國(guó)MDI制造技術(shù)的第四次更新?lián)Q代,使中國(guó)MDI制造技術(shù)最具全球競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。
萬(wàn)華的國(guó)際化戰(zhàn)略――“走向競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手最主要的獲利市場(chǎng)去”
技術(shù)得到發(fā)展以后,萬(wàn)華集團(tuán)又遇到了市場(chǎng)的困境。有一段時(shí)間國(guó)內(nèi)下游產(chǎn)業(yè)需求銳減,MDI價(jià)格急下,國(guó)內(nèi)4家MDI生產(chǎn)企業(yè)中,內(nèi)資僅萬(wàn)華一家,且產(chǎn)量接近國(guó)內(nèi)產(chǎn)量的一半。面對(duì)這種形式,萬(wàn)華提出了“三化一低”,即國(guó)際化、差異化、精細(xì)化和低成本的應(yīng)對(duì)戰(zhàn)略。
“吃著碗里的,盯著盆里的,看著鍋里的,醞釀著地里長(zhǎng)的。這樣你的企業(yè)才能做到可持續(xù)發(fā)展!倍〗ㄈA如是說(shuō)。
丁建生為煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華的國(guó)際化戰(zhàn)略定了三條嚴(yán)律:第一,先市場(chǎng)、后制造;第二,自主培育渠道;第三,自主品牌。截至2009年,萬(wàn)華的產(chǎn)品進(jìn)入了60余個(gè)國(guó)家,用于出口海外的MDI等核心產(chǎn)品,已經(jīng)占到了煙臺(tái)萬(wàn)華總產(chǎn)量的20%-25%。
“我們的國(guó)際化道路,首先從戰(zhàn)略上,是非走不可,不走不行。中國(guó)是全球開(kāi)放市場(chǎng)的組成部分,不是孤立的;行業(yè)中的歐美巨頭都是全球化經(jīng)營(yíng)的,如果我們僅局限于中國(guó),風(fēng)險(xiǎn)太大,一旦發(fā)生價(jià)格戰(zhàn),只有招架之功,無(wú)還手之力!倍〗ㄉf(shuō)。
丁建生對(duì)未來(lái)信心十足,“我們既能搞研發(fā)、能自主開(kāi)發(fā)技術(shù)軟件包,又能把這個(gè)技術(shù)軟件包工程化,通過(guò)市場(chǎng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)把這個(gè)開(kāi)發(fā)的產(chǎn)品市場(chǎng)化。對(duì)于一些企業(yè)來(lái)說(shuō),他們的idea可以,實(shí)驗(yàn)室內(nèi)做得也可以,就是沒(méi)法把它產(chǎn)業(yè)化。還有一些中國(guó)的制造企業(yè),工程能力比較強(qiáng),但是研發(fā)相對(duì)薄弱。萬(wàn)華正是具備這種系統(tǒng)創(chuàng)新能力。”
丁建生還透露說(shuō),萬(wàn)華將向下延伸產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈,開(kāi)拓MDI在節(jié)能建材和生態(tài)粘合劑領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用。他分析稱,建筑節(jié)能材料用MDI制備的聚氨酯硬質(zhì)泡沫,是隔熱性能最好的材料。目前,中國(guó)只有5%的建筑采用節(jié)能建材,而由MDI制造的聚氨酯節(jié)能建材更是只占到其中的10%左右,“節(jié)能建材在中國(guó)建設(shè)節(jié)約型社會(huì)中必將大顯身手!

When talking about the R&D and application of MID technology, Ding Jiansheng said excitedly: “No hi-tech with a genuine market potentials can be imported. The technological innovation ability cannot be purchased, either. Without scientific and technological development and innovation, and unless they grasp the core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, China’s national enterprises will not advance on the road to genuine scientific development.”
MDI is the main raw material for producing polyurethanes, which can be seen everywhere in our daily life. From carrier bags, shoes and clothing to refrigerators and vehicles, this kind of raw material is indispensable for everything.
Thus far, Yantai Wanhua is the only Chinese enterprise that has the independent intellectual property rights to produce MDI. Ding Jiansheng has many titles, several of which are connected with Yantai Wanhua, such as President of Yantai Wanhua Synthetic Leather Group Co., Ltd., President of Wanhua Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co., Ltd., and Chairman of Yantai Wanhua Technological Committee.
With a view to enabling the national MDI to have international competence, by chairing the “10th Five-year” National Scientific and Technological Key Projects, Ding Jiansheng has successfully developed a series of international advanced technologies, which win initiatives for development of the national polyurethanes industry.
Ding Jiansheng formulates three rules for the internationalization strategy of Yantai Wanhua: first, market prior to manufacturing; second, independent cultivation of sales channels; third, an independent brand. By 2009, the products of Wanhua had been exported to more than 60 countries. The core products such as MDI exported to foreign countries now account for 20--25% of the total output of Wanhua’s products.
Ding Jiansheng is full of confidence about the future. “We can do R&D and independently develop technological software packages. At the same time we can marketize the products through our market network. Some enterprises have good ideas and can do well in the labs. However, they cannot industrialize their products. Some enterprises involved in manufacturing in China have powerful engineering ability. However, their R&D ability is poor. Wanhua, for one, has systematic creative ability.”
